Regular dental visits help prevent cavities and also lets the dentist catch cavities when they are very small. If cavities get too deep the treatment is more expensive and more invasive. For adults deep cavities sometime need a root canal and for child this procedure is called a pulpotomy.

Why Brushing Our Teeth Matters
A lot of times we dentists like to tell patients, "Just brush the ones you want to keep". It turns out that there is a lot of truth to this. Developing good brushing habits as a child helps to make sure that out teeth stay in our mouths.
